John Di Domenico is a seasoned professional actor, writer and performer. John wanted to be a performer from the time he was five years old. His father bought him a Super 8 movie camera when he was 10; John started writing and performing in his own movies and hasn’t stopped yet.

Originally from Ambler, Pennsylvania, John graduated from Wissahickon High School, where he was a member of both the Drama Guild and the Video Club. He also performed regularly in school plays and the summer theater program. John went on to attend East Stroudsburg University and was active in the theater program, performing in numerous shows. He made the decision to transfer to Temple University, where he graduated with a BA in Speech Communications.

Di Domenico started his professional acting career in Philadelphia, while maintaining copy writing positions with Philadelphia advertising agencies. His gift for comedy got him noticed by the SKITZOID Comedy Troupe. John was soon performing and touring nationally with the company, eventually becoming the head writer and artistic director. John performed for a year at Atlantic City’s Tropicana Hotel Casino; there he had the opportunity to develop his stable of celebrity and original characters.

In 1989, the producers of the smash hit off-Broadway show Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding decided on a second production in the city of Philadelphia. John auditioned for and landed the part of Joey Vitale (Tina’s brother) and performed the role for the entire nine-month run; he eventually joined the Baltimore cast.

John has pursued acting in both New York and Philadelphia. While working in New York, he became a member of "Some Assembly Required," one of the city’s finest improvisation companies. S.A.R. gave John the opportunity to hone his improvisational skills. Stand-up comedy was the perfect format for John's love of writing and performing. His semi-autobiographical act incorporated his parents, growing up Catholic and many of John's impressions. Di Domenico performed his stand-up comedy act at comedy clubs all over the East Coast, including Caroline’s and Catch A Rising Star. He is very proud to have worked his way up from opening act to featured act and even headliner, on occasion.

John may look familiar to you; that’s because he's appeared in numerous commercials for VISA, Miller Beer, Olive Garden, Bud Light, Bradlees, Value-Rent-a-Car and Comcast, to name a few. He's also appeared on ABCs The Next Best Thing and can be seen as Donald Trump in the box-office hit Meet the Spartans (the #1 film for the week of January 25th 2008). John had the honor of working on final season of The Sopranos as Howie Reinstein, Christopher’s neighbor. As fate would have it, the role ended up on the cutting room floor--but you can still see him in the background and the role is credited.

John Di Domenico’s love of performing, and desire to create content, has him continually collaborating with other performers, writers and filmmakers on new and exciting projects for all forms of media.
